Hi.: MY GENERATION
People go to their friends for input on someone before they date them. If they hear something they don’t like, they won’t even give them the time of day. People use other people’s relationship experiences as a guideline as to how their relationship should be. You can’t use someone else’s experiences and somehow fit them into your life, thinking that’s okay. What ever happened to getting out and experiencing those things yourself? Fuck the fear of being hurt. That’s a bullshit excuse to not live your life to the fullest. So what if some person emotionally damages you? So what if you lose your best friend because of a breakup you two had after getting together (chances are, you two weren’t really best friends if the bond is broken over a tiny little breakup) Get over it. Learn from it. So long as you experience it. I’m a strong believer in making your own mistakes, and experiencing your own hardships. Everyone’s trying to find the easy way out. Instead of going out, meeting someone new, getting to know them the old fashioned way, we gotta stalk them on Twitter, Facebook or Tumblr. We have to ask around, to see if anyone has any dirt on them… Are they a cheater? Is he a player? Is she a slut? Is her vagina loose? Is his dick small? Is he this? Is she that?
Bullshit. All of it.
Throwing rocks at someone’s window at night telling them to come out or giving them flowers just because, is considered “creeper” status. When really, we have all these stalker websites already: Path (tops the list), Twitter, Facebook, Instagram.
I’m living in the wrong times… or I’m just waiting for my generation to grow the fuck up already.
